Michael Hallworth, MA, MSc, MCB, FRCPath is a Clinical Biochemist who has recently retired from the post of Consultant Clinical Scientist to the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, UK. He worked in the National Health Service for almost 40 years, and is a past President of the European Communities Confederation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFCC) and past Chairman of the UK Association for Clinical Biochemistry.
